patience is NOT my virtue.

LOVE seeing every friend get pregnant. I take joy in seeing their happiness in life with a love they never knew they could have. I am not one ounce of jealous, or bitter or resentful of choices chris' and i have made in life. What I am is ready. It's MY turn. I Long for it to be my turn. My hearts desire is to have a family with my incredible husband that i have been blessed with. Aching, longing, excited, anxious and just ready. 3. 3 is a good number. I look forward to being a family of 3. When I don't have to wish for a baby on my birthday, it will be in my arms. When I don't have to stare at everyone else's baby at disneyland, I will be smitten with my own. When I don't have to feel like crying when the mother in law gives me chris' baby things for her future grandson, i will be able to dress him with those things his father used to wear, or the candle topper my nanny made me that mom sent me in a care package, i will be prepping it for my babe's first birthday. UGH it's hard. I've never wanted anything more in my life for soo long. 2012 has to be it right?  12. the day my husband and I got married. I think it HAS to be 2012. oh Lord you know my heart.

 I have 24 of these plates, all different designs. I have (4) 8-10 Hummel framed prints with precious sayings on them. This is my favorite plate. I can't hang all of them up in my one bedroom apartment but I will hang up this one :)

I can't remember exactly how I got these hats and hat boxes....I believe they were given to me by the lady living in our family home in Lynden before us. I do remember playing dress up with these hats :) My cousins and I had good times with these, and they just look so old and classic, I couldn't help but keep them!  

Collection of Treasures: Salt and Pepper Shakers

So behind every collection there is a story. Mine isn't as much long as it is just precious to me. My Nanny. She was my Best Friend. She passed away five years ago. She collected Salt and Pepper Shakers. She gave them to me. She was always soo big on you HAVE to find what you love and you HAVe to collect it. She always was helping me with my collections, adding to them during holidays or birthdays or just because. I have several more shakers than these....but these were all hers, my favorites.

My dear friend Kristine has hand-made these beautiful pieces of jewelry. I love them. I ordered treasured. No matter how many people call me fat, ugly, ask if they could wax my eye brows, tell me I should get a boob job and wear high heels I know that the Lord my God treasures me just the way I am. He loves me inside and out and wouldn't ask me to change a thing. It means a whole lot when the world has soo much pressure to be a certain perfect, or even when loved ones don't appreciate you so. God does. Treasures and loves us tattered and all.

AH! SOO the other day I come home to find a yellow folder in the mail containing my headband from Ilene Gamboa at muchlove-illy.blogspot.com.  I have been following her blog for over a year and just LOVE what she makes and what she has to say! I don't know her, haven't met her but feel as if I do. For this Christmas I asked for more hand-made things and this specific headband caught my eye! I LOVE it. I got it on Christmas and my FATHEAD broke it :) hah. So I have it now and it's PERfect! this was a tear jerker. I thought I was going to have to buy this myslef (a book of my grandmothers art, sketches, photos of her working etc. ) but knew that i couldn't afford it for a while.. and then who knows if it's still available? Anyway...It's a PRECIOUS book and my mother and FAther got it for us!! I am soo lucky to have this - I love bragging about my family, i get it from my dad. But I am proud of all my family members, and My grandmother (still with us) is amazing. She has been an illustrator for a few children's books, been in MANY bellingham craft shows, was in many clubs, has her art matted and framed taking over almost all of our homes we're all proud to say! She is an inspiration. I love her dearly and am soo glad we got this for christmas.
